Volunteers make the efficiency and effectiveness of United Way fund-raising possible. Generous local companies allow their
employees to volunteer their time during the work day to participate in the United Way campaign. Campaign Team volunteers recruit businesses to participate in the United Way campaign, analyze and manage workplace campaigns, and communicate the United Way message to potential contributors.

In the 2007-2008 campaign, volunteers from many different local employers lent their skills and enthusiasm to United Way. They provided support to the workplace campaigns that enabled our organization to raise over $717,000 for Pickens County.
